Sui Dhaaga Movie Review of the Anushka Sharma-Varun Dhawan latest movie .
Here’s the latest Bollywood update, in terms of the movie release. The movie Sui Dhaaga is released in theaters across India. Many of you must have watched the Sui Dhaaga trailor. Now its time for the Sui Dhaaga movie review, from JustInReviews.
Here we go….
Sui Dhaaga movie story:
Upon being egged by his better half Mamta (Anushka Sharma), Mauji (Varun Dhawan) chooses to dump his ever demanding bosses for the sake of his own tailoring business. Be that as it may, in the midst of naysayers, corrupt relatives and absence of help, will his wish of being an entrepreneur turn into a reality?
This happens to be Sharat Katariya’s third film. His debut one being the well-intended yet not very accepted 10 ML Love while the second one being Dum Laga Ke Haisha, one of 2015’s hit from Bollywood. One cannot miss the similarity between Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Sui Dhaga, in terms of the theme. Maybe an impression of Katariya’s perspective, his desire/readiness to consider marriage to be a relationship of equals, and his skill to pen down a strong lady without being cliché.
The director takes some cinematic liberties, however, there are sufficient genuine moments to move you. In what can be called a triumphant first half, he effectively sets up his primary characters and their issues. Smart humor usage in the dialogues helps raise the entertainment quotient, even when hard times arise for the characters.
While the story doesn’t get excessively preachy or predictable, the second half can be termed as convenient. Likewise, while Mauji’s battle for self-employment finds abundant mention, there isn’t much to support his mastery in the craft, with the exception of his fizzled legacy.
Talking about the Sui Dhaaga cast performances, Varun Dhawan portrays an honest performance, not going overboard, Anushka Sharma’s control appears easy. She appears to live the character, wearing a simple sari, wearing sindoor and negligible make up.
Talking about the supporting cast, Raghubir Yadav proves to be right on target, playing a cynical dad, provoking his child with mocking one-liners that will regularly make you laugh. In any case, the actor to check out is Yamini Dass, who essays Mauji’s mom. She does justice to every moment of her screen-time. She appears delightful even while she’s doling out every day tasks to her bahu, from the bed of the hospital.
This is what you can expect from Sui Dhaaga.
