Samsung Galaxy A6+ is the latest gadget that is reviewed over here by JustInReviews.
The all new Galaxy A6+ has a big screen which was earlier introduced in costlier versions like S8 and S8+. It has an aspect ratio of 18:5:9 with face identification and dual rear cameras. The motto of this smartphone launch is to compete and surpass Nokia 7, the Honor 8 Pro, the modular Moto Z2 Play with the best cameras in this segment.
It is composed of a metal which gives it a premium look and the front side is quite appealing because of its infinity display but is quite borderless. It fits well in the user’s hand. It weighs 191g and is very broad therefore you need both hands to use it.
Below the dual camera, there is a fingerprint sensor which is actually above the Samsung logo. On the right side of the phone, you can find the power button and loudspeaker. There is also a volume rocker on the right and a slot for Nano-SIM 1, Nano-SIM 2 and a microSD card.
This device comes with a charger, earphones, and a Micro-USB cable.
Specifications and Display:
The processor used in this device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with a speed of 1.8 GHz and has 4GB RAM. It has a fixed battery of 3,500 mAh battery and 64 GB storage expandable up to 256 GB.
For connectivity, it has Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, GLONASS, 4G VoLTE and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It also features hall sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and a geomagnetic sensor.
It features Dual Sim facility and only one of them can use 4G speed at a time. IT has a FULL-length HD of 6inch and an 18:5:0 aspect ratio.
The Galaxy A6+ handles day-to-day use like casual Web browsing, using social media apps like WhatsApp and Twitter, and taking the occasional picture quite well. Push the phone, however, and slowdowns and stutter become noticeable.
It is customizable to use lots of apps like WhatsApp, Web browsing, Twitter etc. It is not that good in performance when compared to Nokia 7 because of Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor which is found even in cheap phones like Oppo and Redmi5. The Graphics and UI animations make the device slower.
It has a good 4G connection. The Adreno 506 GPU is quite smooth. Before you play a game you can switch with the help of Game Explorer application among high-performance, normal and battery saving mode. A passcode is better to unlock the code when compared to the face recognition system inbuilt in it.
The Samsung’s 9.0 custom skin encapsulates the Android 8.0 Oreo. There are some un-installable apps of Samsung, Google, and Microsoft present in it. There is also a new feature called Chat over Video where the users can actually chat on WhatsApp. The feature is developed by Indian team and is very much useful.
Battery life is very good and is estimated to last for 12 hours and 30 mins with intense use and on a normal day, it can last for a day. Charging happens slowly. The charger takes more than three hours to charge and 1.5 hours to charge up to 50 percent.
On the back side of the phone, it has a dual-camera set up along with 16 mp sensor and 5 mp secondary sensor. There are lots of camera options like Sports, night shots, and Panorama. You can also use AR stickers very well.
