Recently MIUI 10 has been unveiled and but its previous version MIUI 9 is used by Mi 8 and is expected to gear up to MIUI 10.
Xiaomi Mi 8 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and a user-interface of MIUI 9 is used currently and is expected to upgrade to MIUI 10 within 10 days. A fingerprint sensor which is rear mounted is present in this device. It also has some transparent back panel which permits you to see the inside of the device.
It has a display of 6.21-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED with DCI-P3 color gamut and a 2248×1080 pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:7:9.
It also has a front camera proximity sensor with infrared and earpiece as well. It is powered by Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is linked along with Adreno 630 GPU. There are three memory varieties with this device and they are 6GB RAM with 64 GB disk space, 6GB RAM and 128GB disk space, 6 GB RAM and 256 GB disk space.
This has a dual camera setup in the rear end with 12 MP main camera having 1.4-micrometer pixel size and an aperture of f/1.8, 4-axis OIS, 26 mm wide-angle lens, Optical zoom and a secondary camera of 2X zoom, aperture of f/2.4, 12 MP, and 1.0-micrometer pixel size. In the front, there is a selfie camera of 20 MP with a support of AI portrait.
It has a battery of 3,400mAh which is powered by Qualcomm fast charge 4.0 support. It also has IR face unlocking feature. WiFi 802.11ac, Dual 4G VoLTE, Dual frequency GPS are present as the connectivity options and apart from that it also has Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB Type-C port.
