The primary difference is the price tag. As stated, the Xiaomi Poco X2, which was launched in India on 4 February, comes at a price point of ₹.15,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. Whereas, the Realme X2, costs Rs. 16,999 for a similar variant. Xiaomi Poco X2 vs Realme X2 Mobile Design:
Talking about the design, other than the specification, the choice to choose remains individual with every buyer. Here are some insights that can help you to choose the right one. The Poco X2 design looks alike Redmi K30, which was recently launched in China. It also has a similar punch-hole design for the selfie cameras on the front and the four cameras on the back in the form of a circular ring. Reasonably, the only differentiating factor among the two devices would be the company logo on the polished back panel. Not to ignore, Poco was earlier a sub-brand of Xiaomi, before it got converted into an independent legal entity in India.
Realme X2 smartphone offers the same design language that of XT, and it would be quite difficult to differentiate between the two when kept side by side. The build quality is excellent and the rear has the same hyperbolic design that we have experienced in the XT, which makes it shiny when light falls.
Xiaomi Poco X2 vs Realme X2 Display and performance:
This is reasonably the most crucial difference between these two Chinese smartphones. The Realme X2 gets a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, whereas, the Poco X2 comes with a huge 120Hz refresh rate display. As seen, if the refresh rate is high, then you can experience a much better gaming performance.
Speaking about the performance, both Xiaomi Poco X2 and Realme X bags Snapdragon 730G, which is a gaming processor. What Qualcomm says is, this new chip can get a graphic boosts nearly up to 15% as compared to the Snapdragon 730. So, you experience a similar performance on both smartphones.
Xiaomi Poco X2 vs Realme X2 Cameras:
The camera specifications are not that surprising and different on both the phones. The Xiaomi Poco X2 brings up a four-camera set-up on the back to provide various use cases. Here you get a 64MP camera powered by Sony IMX 686 sensor with an added 2MP depth sensor, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera & a 2MP macro camera for getting close up shots. The 64MP camera is not allowed by default, so the user has to shift to it in the camera app to use it. The front camera comes with a 20 MP primary camera & 2MP sensors.
The Realme X2 camera has the same set-up at the rear side of the phone. It also comes with the four rear cameras, that includes 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2-megapixel macro sensor, & 2-megapixel portrait sensor. The rear cameras are also powered by AI technology for better photography. But, in terms of selfie cameras, the Realme X2 comes with a 32MP camera sensor, and with an f/2.0 aperture. Poco X2, on the other end, offers 20MP primary sensor with an extra 2MP sensor, which may give better results when opting for close photography, but with a very little difference.
Xiaomi Poco X2 vs Realme X2 Battery:
In terms of battery life and its performance, we see a huge difference between these two smartphones. The Xiaomi Poco X2 brings a 4500mAh removable battery that comes with 27W fast charging capacity, while the Realme X2 is bagged with a 4,000mAh battery with 30W Vooc Flash Charge 4.0.
Though the battery capacity of Realme X2 is less than Xiaomi Poco X2, you can advantage of getting an extreme fast charging. The company claims that this VooC Flash Charge 4.0 can charge your phone to 100% in just 75 minutes, and this is a plus point for those who need fast charging on heavy battery usage.
Hence, which phone should you get?
Viewing all the specifications enumerated above, it is pretty clear that Xiaomi Poco X2 and Realme X2 are more or less related to each other with a few tweaks on the specifications and looks. The main point of discussion is the price of the two smartphones. The Xiaomi Poco X2 costs Rs. 1,000 less for the base variant if compared with Realme X2 pricing. Aside from that, the Xiaomi Poco X2 has a faster refresh rate of 120Hz display. It has a big battery with a bit smoother performance at a lower price than that of a Realme X2.
